Drivers Education
Course Description
Earn credit while learning how to drive! Designed to empower students to become responsible and skilled drivers, this program equips you with the knowledge needed to navigate the roads safely. You'll master rules, regulations, federal and state laws, and the essential skills for operating a motor vehicle. To earn high school credit, you'll need to submit proof of enrollment in a driving program and the receipt of your driver's permit. Purchase Permit
Require Documents:
Certified Original Birth Certificate
Photo ID – This can be in the form of the student’s yearbook, school ID, US Passport, etc.
Social Security Card or Number for Verification
Proof of Idaho Residency
Acceptable Lawful Presence Documents (if applicable)
Visual/Medical Certification (if applicable)
Driver Training Completion (if applicable)
Liability Signer (if under 18 years of age)
Verification of Compliance Form (VOC), if under 18 years of age.
Do this:
Order School compliance letter.
Purchase the driver training permit at your local DMV. A permit must be purchased before a student participates in any instruction.
While each county is a bit different, all counties require a letter showing that students are "in compliance" with their local education authority (Snake River Opportunities in this case) before getting a driver's permit. Complete the request form to order your compliance letter. If you have already completed this task, simply fill out the form and mark ALREADY COMPLETED.

Learn this: Choose which Driver's Education program you will be using for both the learning (class) portion and the driving portion.

Which program are you using for instruction? (i.e. IDLA, R&R, Rocky Mtn. Driving School)
Which program are you using to get your 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a licensed driver education instructor? (i.e. R&R, Rocky Mtn. Driving, Armstrong Driving School, Idaho Driving School)

Pass the Course Test
Learn this: Complete the learning or class portion of the course and provide proof of completion.

Simply submit a certificate of completion or a screenshot of your completed coursework from your chosen driver's education course.
