Hi! I’m Ms. Whitworth.

I’m a reader, a paddleboarder, and a dirt-bike rider. I’ve traveled to 38 states, and I’m determined to eventually make it to all 50—although ideally, I’d like to see a good portion of the remaining 12 from the back of a dirt bike.

At home, I’m usually in the middle of some kind of landscaping, building, or remodeling project. I’m not afraid of power tools or heavy equipment, and yes, I can drive a backhoe. I really enjoy designing spaces and then figuring out how to actually build what I’ve imagined. If I hadn’t gone into education, I probably would have ended up in architecture or construction.

I work out regularly, spend as much time outside as I can, and read whenever I get the chance. But my favorite time is spent with my family—especially my grandkids.

Basically, my interests are all over the place, and I like it that way.
