Snake River Opportunities High School (SROHS) delivers a mastery-based curriculum, approved by the Snake River School District, and fully aligned to Idaho Content Standards. This Frameworks for Learning ensures all students have access to a free and appropriate education while allowing flexibility and freedom in selecting learning tools that align with their needs and preferences.
Each course at SROHS is designed and supported by Idaho-certified teachers and delivered through a learning management system. Students are enrolled in the required courses as outlined in the Idaho Rules Governing Thoroughness (IDAPA 08.02.03.04) and may also take classes through approved providers, including Snake River-developed courses, IDLA, and Idaho colleges and universities.
Content specialists curate 3–5 recommended learning tools for each course, all aligned to the Frameworks. Families who opt for outside tools must ensure they meet the Framework requirements, understanding that additional effort may be needed to demonstrate alignment.
Families can request reimbursement for internet access used for schoolwork (see Reimbursement Policy). Any provided equipment (e.g., laptops, core textbooks) must be returned if the student un-enrolls before completing the school year.
