In Literature Survey, students read a variety of texts—including books, short stories, plays, and poetry—and analyze character development, theme development, plot structure, and the use of figurative language. Students can choose a genre of literature to focus on, such as American, British, Contemporary, Greek, or Western. Emphasis is placed on understanding how these elements contribute to the overall meaning and impact of a story, helping students develop critical thinking and analytical skills. All topics align with Idaho State Standards and support continued growth as analytical and effective communicators.
