In this class, students will learn the fundamentals associated with trying a jury case. they will learn how to conduct each trial phase from opening statements to closing arguments and everything in between. Throughout the semester, they will learn how to synthesize, sort, and present ideas persuasively to their audience; there will be a focus on trial evidence. This is very much a learning by doing environment, and they will be required to participate in class each work to demonstrate their understanding of the assignment. It cannot be emphasized enough that grading will not be based on overall skill, but instead focused on individual improvement throughout the semester.
