Steps to Get Promoted
Learn this: I will learn how to get promoted to achieve my career goals and improve my financial situation.
Do this: Create a project that demonstrates what you have learned and includes the following information:
Explain how people get promoted in your workplace or industry and list the things you need to do to be eligible for promotion.
Set your own personal SMART goals that match what the company wants and create a plan to reach those goals.
Ask for feedback from your colleagues and bosses and use that feedback to get better at your job and grow professionally.
Identify some ways you can keep learning and developing new skills.

Developing Character
Learn this: I will build good character at work to succeed and positively impact my career.
Leadership: Leverage the strengths of others to achieve common outcomes or goals, and use interpersonal skills to encourage others. The individual is able to assess their emotions; use empathetic skills to guide and motivate; and organize, prioritize, and delegate work.
Citizenship /Civic Responsibility: Think critically about complex issues and evaluate information about issues of public consequence. Demonstrate knowledge of institutions and processes of government and political systems. Possess behaviors, attitudes, and understanding needed to be a knowledgeable, active and engaged member of a community.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Build collaborative relationships, work effectively within a team structure, and negotiate and manage conflict.
Do this: I will create a project that demonstrates what you have learned and includes the following information:
Choose one of the character traits (leadership, citizenship/civic responsibility, or teamwork and collaboration) and identify specific ways you have demonstrated this trait in a job or other relevant experience.
Give specific examples of how you have used your personal strengths to achieve goals with others, encouraged and motivated others, critically evaluated important issues, shown understanding of how government and political systems work, or worked well in a team. Be detailed in your examples.
Explain how developing this character trait will help you further your career and become a more knowledgeable, active, and engaged member of your community.
